In keeping with the promise of providing unmatched products and services to its customers, Spice Telecom , Punjab 's premier cellular service provider, today announced that it has slashed national roaming airtime charges by 56% . The slash in roaming rates is applicable to pre-paid as well as post-paid subscribers across all tariff plans roaming in India , with effect from 15 February 2007.

With the slash in roaming tariffs, Spice subscribers will charged a nominal of Rs.1.40/- for local outgoing roaming calls, outgoing STD calls will be charged at Rs.2.40/- and all Incoming Calls at Rs.1.75/-. Thus, ensuring that Spice subscribers save upto 56% on roaming outgoing/ incoming call charges as compared to earlier outgoing roaming rates varying from Rs.2.89/- per min to Rs.3.99/- per min and incoming roaming rate of Rs.3.99/- per min . Furthermore, the monthly roaming rental, surcharge which subscribers had to pay for National Roaming, has been completely waived off.
