Riding on the immense popularity generated through talent hunts aired across television networks, Spice Telecom, Punjab's premier cellular operator, today launched an exciting new service to hone the singing talent of its subscribers. Aptly termed as Spice Karaoke, the service will provide a perfect platform for subscribers to sing to their favorurite songs, as they can download lyrics of latest songs along with its soundtrack on their GPRS enabled mobile phones. Karaoke allows everyone to sing along with the soundtracks to their favorite songs. Karaoke is an increasingly popular form of entertainment which lets everyone be a star! Having originated in Japan, Karaoke has now spread throughout the world. Millions now enjoy Karaoke at home and in clubs and restaurants. Spice has brought the same entertainment in the pockets of its subscribers. Spice subscribers can now enjoy all the benefits of an actual karaoke at a press of a button on their mobiles.

Special Outgoing Service (SOS): In a revolutionary move, for the first time in the region, Spice Telecom, Punjab's premier cellular operator, today launched 'Special Outgoing Service' sfor Spice subscribers. With this service, Spice subscribers can make outgoing calls in case of crisis or emergencies, even when their outgoing calls are barred or have run out of talk time. The charges for this call will be borne by the called Spice subscriber i.e., the charges will be paid by the Spice subscriber who receives the call and not by the Spice subscriber who initiates the call.

Here's how to download Spice Karaoke application:

1. Spice subscriber needs to have an active GPRS connection. To activate Free GPRS, subscribers need to dial *789#

1. Log onto www.spiceindia.com/wap

2. Click on the Karaoke link from their mobile phones

3. Download Karaoke song application of their choice

How to use Spice SOS:

1. Spice subscribers need to dial 522 number (toll free) and give the 10 digit number of their loved ones (Spice subscriber) who would bear the cost of the call .
2. Upon receiving the 10 digit mobile number, the Spice internal system, will dial the ten digit mobile number and ask the called (call received) subscriber if they agree to bear the charges of the call, Rs.3/- per minute.
3. The called subscriber needs to Dial 1 to accept the call charges and the line between the caller and the called subscriber will be connected
4. Upon the completion of the call, the charges are levied on the called party.
5. In case the called subscriber denies accepting the charges of the call, the caller will be communicated about the same.
